Sweethearts are a lovely German style Gingerbread (the very same recipe as the Yumlets). The important difference is they are cut into hearts before baking. This leads to a bigger surface area which makes them even tastier.

The name relates obviously to shape and sweetness level. A treat for your tea break or a quirky give-away for your loved one.
